Red Humpy Dry Fly

The Red Humpy is a favourite among many fly fishermen. One of the reasons is because of how the dense hackle on this dry fly makes it float so well. The Red Humpy imitates generic hatches of insects and can be used when the fish are rising sporadically as well. The Humpy also comes in a “Double” Humpy version. This is basically two Humpy flies joined together and can be used with good success in windy conditions and times when you are struggling to see your fly in the water. Every fly fisherman should have a few of these in their fly boxes.
